Firstly, I want to take this opportunity to congratulate you and your school community on your professionalism in navigating the challenges of the recent months. I was very proud of the teaching profession in their adaptation and responsiveness to an unprecedented crisis that demanded the learning and application of new skills in mid-stream.
As was the case with many other scheduled events, our traditional summer course programme has not emerged from the public health crisis un-scathed. We are not in a position to offer any face-to-face courses in the center or at regional venues at the beginning of July as is traditional.
However, along with our Summer Course Administrator, Mrs.Mary Mc Quaid and our tutors we are delighted to be able to advertise a limited number of face-to-face courses that we have provisionally planned for August on the week of Monday August 17th.
Details of these courses are included along with this letter and all courses will run in accordance with the latest public health advice at that time. I am conscious that the limited range of courses and the August scheduling of courses may not suit everybody and Monaghan Education Centre have partnered with our colleagues in Mayo Education Centre to offer a range of online courses. Details of these courses are available to view and book on our website.(www.metc.ie)
Finally, I would like to wish you all a healthy, restful and enjoyable summer.
Le gach uile dea-mhéin,
David Mc Cague,
