M.Ed. with specialisms The Master of Education degree is a part-time professional development course for teachers and other adult educators, who wish to update their knowledge and qualifications. The award has been developed in conjunction with the teaching community and is designed to ensure you will have the opportunity to explore contemporary issues in education which impact upon your own professional practice. This is a very popular and well – regarded course which is a conflation of theory, reflection on practice and research. You can choose a specialism: Education Management; Inclusive and Special Education; International and Comparative Education; or Information and Communication Technology. Our students welcome the flexibility of the course with all modules available online.
The course equals 180 credits with most modules being 30 credits. Most students take 2 x 30 credit modules per year and complete the course in 3 years. In some cases, we can give credit for previous accredited learning. We are also able to offer a 10% alumni discount. Many students choose to pay their fees by direct debit, usually by 10 interest-free instalments. Student loans are also available for post graduate study. The cost per module is approximately £1,120.
