The best approach is to include both your study\u00a0and leisure activities (eg. sport, watching your favourite television programme,\u00a0gaming etc) on your \u2018one-week study &amp; leisure timetable\u2019. You can fit your\u00a0leisure activities around your study times or your study times around your\u00a0leisure activities. Go to Appendix I at the end for an example of a blank \u2018one-week\u00a0timetable\u2019- print off a number of copies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family: Roboto, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 10pt; color: #000000;\">Each day of the\u00a0week is divided into hourly time slots. Bearing in mind the recommended daily\u00a0hours of study for your year, insert your study periods in groups of hourly and\u00a0half-hourly slots.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family: Roboto, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 10pt; color: #000000;\">Since non-study\u00a0activities like mealtimes, household chores, part-time jobs, training\/matches\u00a0etc., may have set times, it is better to fill these in first. Perhaps parents\u00a0or class teachers may be able to help younger students in completing this very\u00a0important task.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family: Roboto, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 10pt; color: #000000;\">Remember to make\u00a0plenty of photocopies of the chart before you use it so that you will have\u00a0spare ones to fill in if your timetable changes. You may also need to\u00a0experiment with different timetables over a few weeks before you get the\u00a0balance right.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family: Roboto, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 10pt; color: #000000;\">Once you have\u00a0 settled on a workable version try your very best to stick with it. Routine\u00a0makes the work easier.
