We are excited to share details of this Erasmus+ funded initiative, which we are leading in collaboration with partners in Luxembourg and Slovenia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong>What is DALI4US?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">DALI4US (Data Literacy for Upper Primary Schools) aims to equip primary school teachers with the necessary confidence, knowledge, skills, and attitudes to teach data literacy effectively.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">By empowering primary school teachers to teach data literacy, we prepare students for the digital age and help them become knowledgeable and engaged citizens in a world focused on data. Through inquiry-based learning experiences, we will explore opportunities to integrate data literacy across the primary curriculum.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong>Project Highlights:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong>Innovative focus:<\/strong>\u00a0This project introduces upper primary students (5th and 6th class) to\u00a0<em>data literacy<\/em>\u00a0that goes beyond statistical literacy in mathematics, helping them understand how data informs the digital world, including the principles behind AI and large language models.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong>Hands-on learning:<\/strong>\u00a0Students will engage in inquiry-based, cross-curricular activities, from data collection and classification to storytelling and prediction using OrangeEDU software.
